In order to lighten the mood of this previously dark dining room, I applied a layer of lighter base coat and then rag-glazed in two layers.




 



Memorial Presbyterian Nursery

Memorial Presbyterian in Northeast TN asked me to help them make the toddler nursery a welcoming play-place. These friendly animals will hopefully bring smiles to the faces of many children.

Personalized Art

Here is a great way to add custom color and personalized flair to any room. The fabric for the pillows was purchased at a local fabric store and made into a pillow (center). I worked off of the colors and patterns of the fabric, but added my own touch to the style. Rag-Glaze

Rag-Glazing gave a soft, homey feel to this Victorian decor.

Striae

 

Striae is a French-style patina.  Glaze is used to create horizontal or vertical brush marks that follow architectural lines.  When the striae on these cabinets were complete, we added a touch of color and a border of gold to finish it off.

These canvases were hung on the wall across from the large jungle mural. They complement the colors and theme of the room.

This mural depicted the transition from city to suburban to countryside that you can see from my hometown.

Murals - Birds

Clouds and birds were the themes of this mural. They were "perched" in the recessed ceiling of the room.
